天地人　Tea cup

宮島焼の湯呑みへ『天地人』と書きました
自然の風合いが漂う焼物で
絵付けの色は濃い藍色ですが、焼き具合によってピンクになっている部分もあります。

心落ちつくひとときを演出するこの湯呑みがあなたのくつろぎのパートナーとなるでしょう

天地人とは世界を構成する3つの要素
天と地と人それらを繋ぐ物。
この入れ物に入れたお茶は一体どんな味がするでしょう

宮島焼、御砂焼きとは
その昔、安芸の国では、厳島神社御本殿下のお砂を道中安全のお守りとしていただき旅に出ました。そして無事旅から戻るとお守りの砂に旅先の砂を加え倍にしてお返しするという「お砂返し」の風習がありました。
このお皿には厳島神社御本殿下のお砂をご祈祷して頂き、そのお砂が練り込まれています

I wrote "Heaven, Earth, and Human" on a Miyajima-yaki teacup.
This pottery has a natural texture.
The painted color seems to be dark indigo, but there are some pinkish parts due to the firing condition.

What will tea in this teacup taste like?

Miyajima-yaki, or Osunayaki, is a type of Miyajima-yaki that is made from the sand under the main shrine of Itsukushima Shrine, which was once used as a talisman for safety on the road. When the traveler returned safely, the sand from the journey was added to the sand from the amulet and doubled to return it to the traveler.

This plate is kneaded with sand from Itsukushima Shrine's main shrine.
