唐津焼に天と書きました
I wrote 天 on Karatsu ware

この土、の香りがする唐津に天と
点をちょん、ちょん、ちょん、と4っつうっただけですが、高い温度で焼かれ,凝縮され、少し澄んだ緊張感をこの天から感じます

天は上にあるのかな 下にあるのかなあ

I wrote 天 on Karatsu ware

This earth, in Karatsu with the scent of heaven
I just put 4 dots on it, but I can feel a little clear tension from the high temperature and condensed from the 天.

Is the heaven above or below…

『唐津焼』とは桃山時代(1580年頃)から遡り、古い歴史を誇る伝統工芸です。
 "Karatsu ware" is a traditional craft with a long history dating back to the Momoyama period (around 1580).

鉄溶液で絵を描き、釉薬をかけて焼き上げたもの。唐津焼は土を感じる味わいをもった、素朴かつ
力強さをもった陶器です。

その様な所からわびさびを感じさせる味わいがあり、次第に茶の湯道具としてよく使用されるようになっていきました。唐津焼は、日本で初めて筆で絵付けを施した焼き物だともいわれています。

そこに3つ作品を作りました。『天』『福』『花唐草文』


"Karatsu ware"

 Painted with an iron solution and then glazed and baked.  Karatsu ware has a rustic and earthy taste.

 It is pottery with strength.  From such a place, it has a taste that makes you feel wabi-sabi, and it gradually came to be used as a tea ceremony utensil.  Karatsu ware is said to be the first pottery in Japan to be painted with a brush.

 I made 3 works there.  "天" "福" "Flower arabesque pattern"
